Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF)
A membership association for trusts and foundations in the UK. The website provides information about the organisation and its membership, advice on applying for funding, and information on policy, legislation and regulations affecting charitable grant-makers.
Finance and support for your business (GOV.UK)
Find UK government backed support and finance for business. You can customise your search by location, size and business sector.
A UK consultancy which helps charities to enhance their existing fundraising activities. The site includes a news service, forums, blogs, a selection of books on fundraising, a directory of suppliers for your fundraising activities and expert advice.
Subscription database established in 1985. Grantfinder is designed to advise business professionals on grant aid processes, from the location of funding through to completing an application. The database is searchable for location, industrial sector, purpose of grant, project cost and size of company.
A subscription service providing up to date information on funding opportunities in the UK. Includes information on grants from the European Union, UK Government, National Lottery and grant making trusts and foundations.

A European Union site to help businesses apply for finance supported by the European Union. Use the interactive map to click on your country and locate banks or venture capital funds that provide finance supported by the EU.
Access to finance for SMEs
The European Commission's website on growth opportunities includes information on access to finance for industry and SMEs, with links to useful tools and databases.
Research & Innovation funding opportunities
Find European Union funding opportunities for the following research and innovation related programmes: Horizon 2020, Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and SMEs (COSME), Third Health Programme and the Multiannual Consumer Programme 2014-2020.
Major funding schemes
Assisted Area Status
Business in these areas can bid for additional funding and tax breaks in order to create jobs and invest in new premises. Use the 2014-2020 Assisted Areas Map to find Assisted Areas and Local Enterprise Partnerships.
Enterprise Zones support expanding businesses with incentives such as business rates relief, enhanced capital allowances, lease payment holidays, low-rent incubator units or development funding. Quarterly data releases show the output of the Zones since their inception.
Local Enterprise Partnerships
LEPs are voluntary partnerships between local authorities and businesses, with the aim to drive sustainable economic growth and create private sector jobs in their communities. The LEP network offers news, events, an online forum, a monthly bulletin and an annual benchmarking report of LEP-area economies.

The EFG is a loan guarantee scheme by the UK Government. It helps small enterprises which lack security to borrow money from approved lenders.
