Wolverhampton Society of Chartered Accountants
The WSCA was established in 1945 as a means of bringing together chartered accountants who worked or lived in the Wolverhampton area in order to gain mutual benefit from discussing and sharing professional interests, and to enjoy social interactions.
The Branch society still aims to provide the same service and focal point for ICAEW members in the Wolverhampton area. Additionally the branch society joins with similar branch societies in Shropshire and the North Staffordshire area in comprising the Staffs, Salop and Wolverhampton District Society of Chartered Accountants. The District Society has representation on the Council of the ICAEW as well as a wider role in contributing to the governance and policy formulation of the ICAEW.
All members of the ICAEW are welcome to become involved in the branch. It is not a matter of 'joining to become a member' but a matter of choosing to participate in any of our meetings or activities which may be of interest.
Benefits of Participation in the WSCA
- Meeting other members of the ICAEW who live and work (either in practice or business) in the Wolverhampton area.
- Participation in discussion groups.
- The opportunity to attend occasional social evenings with partners.
- The opportunity to be involved in the process of governance and policy making for the District Society and the ICAEW.
The Wolverhampton Society of Chartered Accountants would like your views as to what you know about and want to see from your local society. It would be appreciated if you could complete this short survey.
