The society was formed in 1901 serves more than 3,000 members in the counties of Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and the District of Peterborough.
The society’s members come from accountancy practices small and large and from a range of business, public sector and Third Sector interests. The district society is deeply engaged in the development of the local economy and regards the promotion of the profession – especially among students – as a crucial part of its work.
It also acts as a link between the ICAEW in Moorgate Place and members in the district.
Thought-provoking discussions, technical updates and networking with fellow LANSCA members and other professionals (and great food!) all take place regularly near you.
LANSCA currently run spring and autumn networking lunches with the Leicestershire, Peterborough and Northamptonshire Law Societies at More Restaurant, Bombay Brasserie and The Royal Bengal respectively. Discussions are informal, and the events are a great opportunity to catch up with fellow professionals.
Attendance at the lunches is charged at a nominal cost to cover catering. However, we understand that our unemployed/career break members can make great use of the networking at these events so they are open to you for free.
We also run twice yearly strategy events at local firms and business giving members the opportunity to hear how these businesses run and get a peek behind the scenes. Our most recent event was at Norton Motorcycles where lucky delegates had the privilege of getting a glimpse of the new V4 RR before it’s media release.
