The Business Confidence Index in North East England is the least negative in the UK, according to the latest ICAEW Business Confidence Monitor ™ (BCM). The region’s Q2 score of -2.6 is down on the Q2 2018 score of +6.5, but well above the Q2 UK average of -16.6.

The Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants has a new President. Andrew Lovelady, has been appointed President for 2019/20, for what will be the 150th year of the Society. The occasion was marked at the AGM by a drinks reception and exhibition of the Society’s history at the Liverpool Central Library.
